Highly cclaimed Mira Nair’s masterpiece explores the myth behind Mumbai’s glitz and fascination through the eyes of a 10 year old boy Krishna who runs away from his hometown to the city in search of Rs. 500/- that will allow him to repay and rejoin his family. Once in Mumbai, Krishna first is lost and naïve but quickly picks up street- smart and learns his grind among the colorful characters of Mumbai’s gritty underbelly.
