  • A musical night “LAYA” by Dr.Chandrakanth Sardeshmukh

    August 22nd, 2007

I am posting on behalf of Yuva Foundations (www.yuvafoundations.org), an NGO started by a group of young professionals, passionate about one single goal - Celebrating Education. Pursuing our vision of community development through education,YUVA introduced Place-Based Education (PBE) and Introduction to Basic Technology (IBT) programs at Dombaranahally, a role model village adopted by YUVA for this cause.
IBT, a vocational training model equipping young girls and boys from rural India with job and life skills, pioneered by Vigyan Ashram (www.vigyanashram.com ) and recognized by Education Board of Government of Maharashtra, India, is a successful model creating as many as 800 entrepreneurs from 350 schools in rural Maharashtra.
Yuva in association with Vigyan Ashram, has started this program for the first time in the state of Karnataka, in a government school, at Dombaranahally in Tumkur Dist.
We are organizing a musical night “LAYA” by Dr.Chandrakanth Sardeshmukh, a renowned Sitar Player and a senior disciple of Pt. Ravishankar and Mrs. Annapurnadevi (www.darshanam.com), as a fund raiser for this noble cause.

I request you all to come and be a part of this noble venture, in making this society a better place through education at the grass root level.
