Friday, 01-Feb-2008 at 6.30 pm – “Rasa Yatra” – An Evening of Portrayal of various Rasas in different Ragas concept of Indian Classical Music by Lalita Ubhayaker and vocal recital by Purnima Kulkarni, Bharati Pratap and Meghana Kulkarni and Compere by Tara Kini. Accompaniment on Harmonium by Vyasamurti Katti and Tabla by Udayraj Karpur.
RASA YATRA is a journey through the essence of Ragas to create an experience of how different Ragas portray different moods. Does a Raga lend itself to one particular emotion or is it possible to convey a range of emotions within the magic of a single Raga framework? Join us on this exploratory journey and find out for yourself.

Wednesday, 20-Feb-2008 at 6.30 pm – “Sarod Recital” by Pandit Buddhadev Dasgupta accompanied on Tabla by Pt. Ravindra Yavgal.
Buddhadev Das Gupta is the senior most exponent of one of the most authentic sarod gharanas today. He is a true genius with numerous achievements and one of the best known cultural ambassadors of our country.
His unique musical personality that has shaped a distinctive style, completely his own. A deep understanding of the raga, a rare accuracy of the swaras, a superb balance between a gayaki and tantrakari, together with powerful bol patterns and fluent ekhara taans, of which he has been a pioneer, mark his music. Pandit Buddhadev Das Gupta’s style represents a modern synthesis of the rebabiya and beenkar styles. A hallmark of Pandit Buddhadev Das Gupta is his architectural formal organization.
At present, he is attached to the ITC Sangeet Research Academy, Kolkata, as member of its Experts Committee. He is also the Guru of the newly formed instrumental division, which imparts advanced training on the sitar and sarod.
Thursday, 21-Feb-2008 – Purnima Satsang programme at 4.30 pm. Discourse by Sri. B.K. Sridhar on “Mahima of Srichakra” and chanting of slokas from Soundarya Lahari by Smt. Sujaya Nagabhushan.
