Active Canvas Summer Camps

active canvas is hosting a summer arts carnival for children on saturday, april 5th, 2008 between 10 am and 5 pm. Children get to play with clay on a potter’s wheel, splash colors on a canvas, make funny hand puppets, enjoy theatre games & explore sculpture art. They can win exciting prizes by participating in on-the-spot painting and dance competitions. The carnival will also include fun activities such as face painting, hair-braiding, mime & acrobat shows, street magic and lots of exciting game stalls & food stalls.  Adults must accompany the children and they are welcome to join in the activities.

The main objective of the carnival is to promote the arts and encourage children to engage with it on a regular basis. Activities of the carnival are designed for children between the ages of 3 and 14 and adults who are young at heart.

A one of a kind art school, we craft experiences in the arts for people of all ages. We have an extensive menu of classes and events in a variety of art forms such as painting, pottery, dance, music, photography, theatre, craft and languages.

All classes and events are held in fully equipped, specially designed studios that provide for fun and focused learning. Our school includes a movement arts studio, a painting studio, music & languages studio, pottery studio and an all purpose studio.

Launched in January of 2007, active canvas has gained significant visibility as a unique arts space. We have conducted nearly 85 courses and organised over 14 events within a year.
