    April 2nd, 2008

World Health Day is the annual flagship event of World Health organization.  Health is the buzzword of modern era. India’s one third of the population is of youth, and they are wealth of the Country. So much so, we desire to create an apt vent in youth to build a healthy & vibrant generation.

Our over all goal is to promote health through physical activity.

Schools are an efficient vehicle for encouraging physical activity & fitness training in leisure time as a part of a daily routine. Children spend most of the time in schools and due to hectic schedules, the quality and quantity of physical activity have slipped.

Many children are less physically active than recommended. The present generation children engage more time in sedentary activities like watching television, playing video games, glued to computers. Due to this ailments like obesity, type -2 diabetes, blood pressure are rising in alarming rates in children community and medical expenses spiraling further.

The need of the hour is health enhancing physical activity.  Physical activity is an adjunct to healthy diet. The regular moderate physical activity for at least 30 minutes will ward off minor ailments and protects disability, enhance functional independence, change behavior, and quality of life.
