KQA Solus Rex Prelims
Rules
Open to all
Entry Fee: Rs. 50/-
Free entry for school students
50 questions to answer in 30 minutes.
The prelims will begin at 1430hrs and end at 1500hrs.
Crossovers
A quiz in the History of Ideas. Questions drawn from the journeys made
by ideas across the sciences, history, philosophy, popular culture and
the arts.
Prelims: 1500hrs
Finals: 1600hrs
5 Phases, 60 questions.
Entry Fee; Rs. 50/-
Open to teams of two members

Gautam Shenoy will conduct the Open Quiz scheduled for Saturday 22 September 2007 at Daly Memorial Hall. The teams placing 1-2-3 at Gautam’s quiz will conduct Finals-Semis-Prelims respectively at the Unseeded Open Quiz scheduled for Sunday, 14 October 2007.
In other news, Satyajit Chetri will come down to conduct Graphick Rampage–the long awaited quiz on comics and allied graphic arts on 14 October.
We will hold another series of quizzes on Sunday, 28 October 2007. Both dates in October refer to Daly Hall.

Rotary Club Indiranagar is organising an Intercollegiate Quiz on Monday, 10 Septemebr 2007. The details are given below:
“In conjunction with the New Generation Month we are conducting an Inter-Collegiate ` General Knowledge Quiz’ , at 4 pm (4 pm prelims and 7 pm finals) on Monday the 10th of September 2007″

Each College may be represented by 3 participants per team to a maximum of 3 teams per college.
There is no Entry Fee.
Spot Registration for all students with valid ID Cards/Authorisation Letter only.
All decisions by the Quiz Master and the Board of Rotary Bangalore Indiranagar will be binding and final.
Cash Prizes will be distributed to the winners on the Valedictory Function on Monday the 24th Sept. at 7 pm.”

The ACM Bangalore Quiz is an attempt to bring together IT professionals and some bright students across universities together in a fun-filled and yet competitive forum. This is a first quiz of its kind with questions ranging from basic computer science to software and related domains and some to see how aware are you in the Bangalore IT domain. The participants will be representatives of various companies and also enthusiasts who want to prove that they are ‘IT maestros’

We will host three quizzes on Sunday, 5 August 2007, at the Daly Memorial Hall, Mythic Society Buildings, Nrupatunga Road, Bangalore.
High School Events
We begin the day with a team quiz for high school students.This is the second of three contests to determine high school team rankings in Bangalore. The team event will be followed by a Lone Wolf
contest, open to individuals from the participating high schools.
Rules
1. Open to students from Std. VIII-X
2. Each school is allowed to field TWO teams of TWO members each
and FOUR participants in the Lone Cub event
3. Entry Fee: Rs. 100/- (will enable the school to field TWO teams
and 4 participants in the Lone Cub)
Schedule Registration: 1030hrs
Prelims (Team) : 1015hrs
Prelims (Lone Wolf) : 1045hrs
Finals: 1130hrs
Prizes
Teams: Rs.1500/- , Rs. 1000/- and Rs. 500/-
Lone Cub: Rs.500/-, Rs. 300/- and Rs. 250/-

Open Quiz
An Open Unseeded Quiz will be held immediately after the School quizzes As per the amended KQA rules, the teams that placed 1-2-3 at the last ranking Open Quiz will conduct prelims, semis and finals respectively at this quiz.
Members from the teams QFI-Chennai, Kutub Quizzers and Questionable Characters will therefore not participate.
Schedule:
Registrations 1400hrs
Prelims: 1430hrs (conducted by DD & Vinay from Questionable Characters)
Semis: 1530hrs (set by Kutub Quizzers)
Finals: 1700hrs-1900hrs (set by QFI-Chennai)
Please note that we are starting earlier than usual to accommodate two semifinals.
